Time

Waiting for doctor’s appointments, specific investigations, and operations can take months in a state hospital. Waiting time on the day of these appointments, or waiting at the pharmacy for medication, can take a whole day or more. A day of work, a day of childcare, a day of being functional. A day of leave from work.

“I am a single mother with 3 children and work long hours during the week. I don’t feel it is worthwhile to travel just to see a doctor if my symptoms are not life-threatening”  

Please help us to pay for transport for patients to come to our hospital for health care, help us to distribute information sheets to them about their disease and management thereof, and help us pay for a social worker or psychologist to spend time with them.
