Accommodation and Food

With patients staying far from the hospital, they sometimes have to stay over closer to the hospital to get daily radiotherapy. Access to food and accommodation can prevent them from coming for their treatment.

‘’There are a lot of problems caused by the cost of travelling, which our patients obviously cannot afford. It would be a great idea to start a project that provides patients from far away and receiving therapy with a temporary place to stay. Preferably something close to the hospital.’’

“Living in Bonnievale really made my travel to the hospital a challenge. I had to move in with my daughter in Cape Town to have my breast cancer treatment because I have to come to the hospital so often for radiotherapy and chemotherapy”

Please help us to pay for transport for patients to come to our hospital for health care, help us to distribute information sheets to them about their disease and management thereof, and help us pay for a social worker or psychologist to spend time with them.
